Standard calls
To trigger a standard call, the user presses the "CALL" button on the call button, pulls the cord, triggers the remote button, or activates the call button on the infrared neck or wrist button. This causes the red signal light on the call button to pulse slowly. Outside the room, the beepers pulse slowly, the indicator lights (if fitted) flash a red pulse and all relevant displays show the exact location from which the call was received. If the call was generated using an infrared neck/wrist button, via an infrared call button, the user ID or name can also be programmed to appear on the displays. If installed, low frequency audible annunciators(sirens) can be programmed to sound at all call points in presence mode when a call occurs elsewhere in the system. This helps reduce sound levels by quietly informing staff that other calls are waiting, prompting them to visit the display - a particularly useful feature for staff working night shifts.
Calls for assault against staff
To help combat the threat of verbal and physical violence against staff members, Quantec offers an optional staff assault call level to help protect staff from agitated patients, intruders and/or aggressive visitors .

Standard system or emergency call system?
Depending on the type of calling devices used in the system it can be scheduled for a "standard" call or an "emergency" call. In a standard system, the user activates one of the standard call buttons, then a red light on the button indicates that it has been activated. As the button is activated, the signal is received by the control panel, which notifies service personnel by light and sound of a new call being received. The sirens and lights associated with the button in the corridor are automatically activated.
Emergency calls are received by activating one of the emergency notification buttons. After the button is activated, a red indication starts flashing, indicating that it is activated. On the control panel, the corresponding room starts flashing, accompanied by a specific beep. For additional signalling, the indicator lights connected to the specific button flash continuously.
The choice of system depends on the application and the specific site. For example, for hotels, nursing homes, sanatoriums it is appropriate to use a "standard" call, as far as for hospitals and clinics it is advisable to design the system as an "emergency" call..
Control Panel
It is mounted in a location that can be easily and quickly accessed by personnel. The control panels come in different sizes depending on the number of zones. Maximum number of zones per panel 90. Duplicate panels are used if required.
Calling devices
Call points should be installed in bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, living rooms, etc. If necessary, several call points can be installed in each room. A combination of different types of call points and indicator lights can be connected to one zone.
Where rooms are located along a corridor, it is recommended to install light signage above the doors for better visibility and staff response.
Additional calling devices
Hand or foot buttons are available for bedridden patients.
Control modules
They are used to activate a "standard" call when an emergency exit door, medicine cabinet or storage room door is opened. Calls can be isolated by means of a key. The control modules can be connected to another device via a NO/NC contact, such as a pad that monitors pressure change. In this way it becomes a standard call button .
IR call buttons, receivers and transmitters
To protect staff from aggressive visitors, nervous patients or attackers, ceiling-mounted infrared receivers and joint infrared transmitters and buttons are used which can generate a "standard" or "emergency" call. Approximate transmitter range -10m .
Overdoor lights
Where rooms are located along a corridor, it is recommended that door lights are installed for better visibility and staff response. A maximum of four zones can be tied to one indicator .
Sirens
A maximum of three sirens can be connected to one siren output on the control panel for better audible signalling.
Relay modules
External sirens, lights and more can be connected to a zone or group from the control panel via a 12V relay module
DATALOGGER
It is used to log with date and time of each call and recovery button. Used to analyze staff actions and response times.
